Board Member Openings

Greater Toledo Heritage and Horizons (GTHH) is seeking new board members to help guide our mission of honoring Toledo’s past while building a sustainable future. These leadership roles are vital to our organization’s growth, stewardship, and community impact. Board members not only provide governance but also actively contribute their expertise to help operate and strengthen GTHH programs.

What We're Looking For

• Commitment to community revitalization and heritage preservation

• Willingness to attend monthly board meetings and participate in committees

• Skills in areas such as finance, education, nonprofit leadership, cultural engagement, or community organizing

• Passion for hands on involvement in projects that benefit Toledo and the surrounding region

Board Member - Director of Cultural and Tribal Relations (Vacant)

Leads respectful engagement with Cowlitz Tribal members and other regional Indigenous representatives. Ensures that GTHH projects, events, and educational materials honor local cultural heritage, amplify Indigenous voices, and foster meaningful partnerships.

Board Member - Director of Grants and Financial Stewardship (Vacant)

Provides oversight and guidance in GTHH’s pursuit and responsible management of grant funding, donations, and other charitable resources. Supports sound fiscal practices, transparent reporting, and long term sustainability across all programs.

Board Member - Director of Environmental and Heritage Projects (Vacant)

Offers insight and leadership on park, habitat, and heritage based initiatives. Helps shape projects in environmental education, historic preservation, and community stewardship, ensuring they reflect GTHH’s mission of “Preserving Our Story ~ Building Our Future.”

Commitment

All Board of Directors positions are volunteer and non compensated. Members serve without salary or financial benefit, contributing their time, expertise, and leadership in support of GTHH’s mission.
